Have you ever dreamed of zipping through the air like a trapeze artist or trying your skills at tight rope walking? Well, dream no more as you now have the chance to try this out for yourself in a very safe manner, surrounded by nature and at a very reasonable price too!

KK Adventure Park is a company that specialises in adventure, team building and personnel development courses by incorporating the facilities at their adventure Centre, situated just under an hours drive from the city of Kota Kinabalu. it is located in the beautiful valleys of Kawang . Located at the area of Kawang near to the town of Papar, local farms and secondary forest surround it, making it the ideal base camp for many of their activities such as corporate team building, jungle survival and personal development courses. Courses where you learn to challenge your self -imposed boundaries and find new strengths.

About 2 years ago they decided to set up an 20m high Zip line (flying Fox) which is 110m long, built a 10m wall for climbing and a rope course which is 3m high and about 20m long across a fish pond mainly for the use of the children. Constructed from Metal, wood and concrete, these structures form the main nerve centre for most of the challenges. There is also a covered hall for briefings and indoor activities. Various types of accommodation in the form of chalets, open space for camping and a large hall for meals is available. Besides the man-made structures, there is also a jungle trail that leads one through the forest and fruit orchards to view points on the surrounding hills. The trail also provides visitors who like to learn more about the forest and the various crops cultivated in the region such as Rubber, Gaharu, Pineapples’ and other fruit crops.

Upon arrival at the centre you will be briefed on the various activities and also the safety aspects. Safety, as one can imagine is of the utmost importance when it comes to such activities. The instructors have all undergone rigorous and strict training and the equipment is built and maintained in line with the necessary safety standards. Following the briefing you will be fitted with a harness,
safety helmet and you will have to bring your own suitable footwear. (No high heels please). There are certain minimum age requirements for the various activities. For those of you with a sense of adventure and who like both mental and physical challenges, I would recommend that you take the full package which would include the Zip line, wall climbing and rope challenges. Once you’re all geared out, its time to make your way up the trees to the platform for the rope challenges. Before your start you will be secured to the main cables with 2 sets of safety cables for the various challenges. Some of them are pretty easy, while others vibrate and sway and no matter how much you try to steady you legs, the cables move with a life of their own.

The finale for the trip would be the exhilarating ride across the Zip line.

There are various packages available which include the rope challenges, Jungle trekking, abseiling and wall climbing thrown in.

Prices start from RM70.00 for a full day package.
